Sometimes You Have to Improvise
Today I started the day off not quite the way I wanted to. I left the house and didn’t have my flash drive. Now if you’re like me, you have everything on your flash drive and if you don’t have it, you feel like your unequipped, lost, naked, bare, without your tools. You feel weak.
Now if I lose my flash drive I’m not too worried because I back up my inf ormation
but to leave the house without it means that today I’ll have to improvise.
To improvise means to make, invent, or arrange offhand; to make or fabricate out of what is conveniently on hand.
In essence it means to take the tools that you already have, and the knowledge that you have already obtained, and make it work for you. It means that you must be creative in order to complete a task. In order to accomplish a goal, you have to create something out of the limited resources you have.
Do you have a back up plan if something goes wrong? Are you totally dependant on one source of information, one source of training, one source of marketing?
What happens when your one source is dried up? What will you do? Can you improvise or will you suffer? I can work without my flash drive for a day because there is always something I need to do that doesn’t require me to have the information or documents that are on my flash drive. There is always a way out of no way. I CAN improvise.
Are you in that situation with your job where it is your one source of income? What if you were the BEST employee the company had but due to cutbacks they decided to get rid of some people and you was one of them because you had a high salary. Would this devastate you and your finances or would you be able to improvise and pull money from another source? Most people would be in trouble because they depend on their jobs as their sole source of income.
Even if you’re a network marketer, is your primary business your one source of income? Just imagine if that company folded, went out of business, shut down. Do you have money coming in from somewhere else? Can you improvise and make something happen based on the resources you have?
Regardless of what you do in life, first and foremost you should have multiple streams of income. You should be utilizing your God-given talents and skills to bring money into your household. Second, you should be ready to make adjustments, improvise, if something goes wrong and the money starts to dry up from one source. You should always be ready to make changes and work with what you have.
You were born with more than enough talents to make great things happen. It’s up to you to go out and do it.
To YOUR Success,
The “Top Commentators” Plugin is COOL!
Every since I created my blog and learned about widgets and Plugins, I’ve been fascinated by all of the things you can do with them. My new favorite plugin is Top Commentator. It’s a plugin that creates a widget that lists the people who leave the most comments on your blog post on your home page.
Now before you set this up
you need to install it and you can find it in the Plugin section. Once installed, it becomes a widget and then there are many different settings to choose from.
Check out my video below and once you’re done, leave me a comment telling me what you think.
Take a moment and look at my Top Commentators widget on the right side. Do you have this widget installed? Do you think this will benefit you. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think.
Also, tell everyone you know by retweeting this post or by posting this in your Facebook profile status.

Ain’t No Stopping Me Now
There’s a line in the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka” where one character tells his young protégé that every hero has a theme song. Well I think every entrepreneur should have a theme song also and I found mine.
I was listening to Pandora yesterday and this song came on that blew me away. I remember it when it came out in 1979 and I loved it for years but for some reason, it really hit home. The song is “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” by MacFadden and Whitehead. Although this song came out 31 years ago, it is truly timeless.
Now R&B may not be your genre but check out the YouTube video and read the lyrics that I have posted and tell me this isn’t an awesome song.
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’re on the move!
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’ve got the groove!
There’s been so many things thats held us down.
But now it looks like things are finally comin’ around.
I know we’ve got, a long long way to go,
and where we’ll end up, I don’t know.
But we won’t let nothin’ hold us back,
we’re putting our selves together,
we’re polishing up our act!
If you felt we’ve been held down before,
I know you’ll refuse to be held down anymore!
Don’t you let nothing, nothing,
Stand in your way!
I want ya’ll to listen, listen,
to every word I say, every word I say!
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’re on the move!
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’ve got the groove!
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’re on the move!
Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!
We’ve got the groove!
I know you know someone that has a negative vow,
and if you’re trying to make it they only push you aside.
They really don’t have, no where to go.
Ask them where they’re going, they don’t know.
But we won’t let nothin’ hold us back,
we’re gonna put our selves together,
we’re gonna polish up our act!
And if you’ve ever been held down before,
I know you’ll refuse to be held down anymore!
Ain’t No Stopping Me Now because I’m on my way to more success, more happiness, more healthy relationships, more peace of mind, more money and more fitness.
Yes this is my new theme song but you can share it with me if you want.

We All Make Mistakes
In the world of network marketing, we all make mistakes and so will you. The question is will you let those mistakes stop you OR will you continue in spite of?
Check out this video and maybe it’ll answer some questions for you.
“Success seems to be connected with action.
Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.”
-Conrad Hilton
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
-Albert Einstein
“All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes.”
-Winston Churchill
“Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.”
-Mary Tyler Moore
“If you don’t make mistakes, you don’t make anything.”
-Proverb
“The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.”
-John Powell
Please leave me a comment and tell me how you handle mistakes. Do you let them get the best of you or do you overcome them?

Where Should You Go to Get Content for Your Blog?
Okay, so you’ve done what everyone has said to do and you set up your blog now what? Oh yeah, you need to post some content on your blog BUT you have writer’s block because you’re not very creative and you don’t write well so what do you do now?
For me to write a blog post is not that difficult because I like to write and I have those creative juices flowing 24 hours a day/7 days a week and I usually can come up with a topic and some bullet points in a matter of minutes. But everyone is not like that so what you need to do is train yourself to be that way and I’ll show you how.
I believe that part of why I’m able to come up with good content is because I try to expose my mind to a lot of different things. I try to expand my mind with knowledge and new information daily to keep me going.
You can do the same thing if you take these steps.
Read Books: Reading is fundamental and you can come up with a ton of great ideas if you just read some books. Personal development books for me are the best because that’s what I’m good at, encouraging others. What are you interested in? Find out what it is and read books on it and as you read them, keep something near you to take notes and then come back to them later and start to draft your article. I’ve come up with many blog posts just on this technique alone.
CD’s/DVD’s: This is just like books for me because I can get so much information from CD’s that I listen to or DVD’s that I watch. I can literally hear an idea or concept and take it and run with it and write a whole post from it and so can you if you put forth the effort.
Workshops/Seminars: How many times have you gone to a workshop or seminar over the weekend and got some great training information? This information can be transcribed into many different blog post. Workshops and seminars usually have one main theme with many different topics discussed so take some good notes and write about every topic discussed.
Webinars: The one thing I really love about webinars is that a lot of them are recorded and when they’re recorded, you can go back and review and really break down to subject matter. This again is another source for multiple blog post. If a webinar is about the Top 7 Ways to Recruit Members Into Your Business, you could do a blog post on each of the 7 topics or you can break it down into the first 4 ways for one post, then the last 3 ways for the next post. Regardless of how you do it, just go out and do it.
Everyday Experiences: This is the most fascinating for me. There have been so many times when I’m in my car and something pops into my head about a subject that I can write about. When that happens I immediately take notes on it. The way I take notes, especially if I’m in my car, is to use the voice notes feature on my phone and record the thoughts I have on the topic. Then when I get home, I listen to the notes and start writing.
Other Blogs: There are so many blogs out there in the same niche as you that you should be reading them on a regular basis. As you read them, you’re bound to come upon one that is really interesting and motivates you to write about it. If that happens, do it but just make sure you’re not plagiarizing. Put your summary of the article your read in your own words.
The Internet: The cool thing about using the Internet is that if you can come up with a topic first, you can research it and gather more than enough information to write a lot of good content.
I do this a lot. If I want to write on Autoresponders I’ll do a search and look at the information I get. From there I’ll determine what I actually want to write about as it relates to Autoresponders. I may want to write about Good Autoresponder Services or How to Get the Most Out of an Autoresponder or How to Build a Money Making List Using an Autoresponder. The sky is the limit.
There is so much information out there that you can literally write a blog post daily if you discipline yourself, be consistent and set you mind to it. The one thing I would suggest is for you to BE YOURSELF. Don’t try to be like or write like anyone else. Write as if you’re talking to someone and it will become natural and in time it will become easy. Trust me, this is how I got going and if you’re consistent, you will be able to do it with ease.
I hope you got some great value out of this post! Give me your feedback by leaving a comment down below. And if you really thought this was good, share this information with all of your followers and friends on Facebook and Twitter. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
To YOUR Success,
Rodney
P.S. Tell me what you do to come up with content for your blog. I’m always looking for good ideas.
