Do You Have the Power?
Power is defined by Merriam-Webster as the ability to act or produce an effect. What effect are you trying to produce in your life? Are you trying to produce prosperity, happiness, peace or freedom? You should be especially if you are in business for yourself. Everyday you should be trying to build that lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of.
Power is also defined as possession of control, authority, or influence over others. Now if we were to tell the truth, having power over others is important in business. I’m not talking about a dictatorship, repressive type of control but what I am referring to is being in a situation where you’re able to influence people in order to make sales. Sales equals profits and profits equals a happy lifestyle.
Lastly power is defined as physical might. In life you must be able to get things done. You must be out and about making contacts, talking to prospects, giving presentations, conducting teleseminars, and marketing on the Internet. In a nutshell you must go out and do some work. Having power does not entitle you to be successful but using your power properly gets results.
If you have power over your life YOU control things. You are the one who determines how successful you’ll be. You are the one who determines how much money you make. You determine how many people join your business.
What areas in your business are you struggling in? Sit down and do an assessment and see where you’re lacking and what needs improvement. Once you find out what improvements you need, you can gain control. You can have power over that situation because…
Nothing has any power except the power you give it.
So if you give laziness power in your life, it will over take you. If you give excuses power in your life, it will control your outcomes. If you give the television power, you will watch it when you should be doing some personal development. Those things that you don’t want to have power in your life don’t have to. It is totally up to you.
You have control over what runs your life, no one or nothing else.
You have the power! Use it wisely.

Rodney
You Got to Stick With It
So you want to be a business owner? Do you really know what you’re getting yourself into? I really hope you do because I believe that there are too many people sitting on their skills and talents and aren’t using them to build businesses. We should be providing for ourselves and our families. We must not be scared and we must step out there and take control of our lives.
Don’t Give Up
What ever you decide to do Mr. or Mrs. Business owner, be dedicated to your efforts. Don’t let anything or anybody discourage you from doing well in business. You are going to face a lot of obstacles but doesn’t everyone? There is no business owner out there who will tell you that the whole process was easy and they didn’t have any obstacles or doubts about what they were doing. There are always a ton of stumbling blocks. You must be able to get through them.
Market Your Product
No matter how great your product is you must have a successful marketing plan. The “If you build it, they will come” philosophy doesn’t count in business. You must get the word out effectively in order to move products and services so make sure you have an effective marketing plan that caters to your niche. Don’t expect people to just drop out of the sky with money in hand ready to by once you launch your endeavor.
Use the Nay Sayers as Motivators
Unfortunately the main people who try to discourage us when we want to start a business are the ones who are the closest to us; our family. If you truly have a passion for what you want to do, don’t let the ANYONE (even family) talk you out of it. Use their negativity as your motivator and make it work. You control your own destiny not anyone else so don’t let their comments or jokes or criticism keep you down.
Build Your Brand
There may be a period of time when you’re not making any money. If that is the case, don’t worry because you should be in the process of building your brand. When you do this eventually you will get recognize as someone with a worthwhile product or services and in a matter of time, the sales will come. Keep plugging away at making you company, product and yourself a name in the industry and before you know it, everyone will know who you are.
Show Your Passion
To really be motivated about what you do, it is important to remember why you are doing what you’re doing. Remember the passion you felt when you thought up the concept of your business. Remember the passion you had once you started to put the plan on paper. That passion is what is fueling you deep down on the inside. It is that fire that’s burning when times are tough. Be passionate and let others know how you feel.
So regardless of what you want to do in your business life, Stick With It, work the plan and success will eventually come.
To YOUR Success,

What is Personal Development?
Today is all about PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.
What exactly is personal development?
Personal Development is individual self-development where you have goals, plans or actions oriented towards:
- improving self-knowledge
- developing your strengths or talents
- identifying or improving your potential
- enhancing your lifestyle or the quality of life
- realizing your dreams
- fulfilling your aspirations
In this business we have the opportunity to do great things but we sometimes let ourselves get in the way.
We let our bad attitudes and experiences cloud our minds and therefore don’t succeed. That’s where personal development comes in.
We must be consistently working to improve ourselves in order to be the best that we can be. We must take action daily to reprogram our minds with good information and remove all of the bad stuff.
If you haven’t set your goals for this week, make sure you set a goal where personal development is involved. And then make sure it’s a part of your weekly routine to work on self. Don’t let those dormant talents and skills go to waste. Ignite them, jump start them, give them a boost or whatever you have to do, just do it and get it going.
To YOUR Success,
Rodney
Be Consistent
Today I want to talk about the word CONSISTENCY.
Consistency is defined as an agreement or harmony of parts or features to one another or a whole.
In this business we are armed with an awesome product and business opportunity but those products or business opportunities will not sell themselves. We MUST be consistent in our efforts to move the product and build our teams. If you work hard for a period of time and decide to stop and take a break, be clear you will have to start all over in your effort to get back in the flow of things.
Imagine pushing a large boulder down the street. At first it’s very hard to get started but as you continue to push, you build momentum and it gets easier. Well what will happen if you decide to stop pushing that boulder? That’s right, you’ll have to start again and when you start again it’s hard and not as easy as it was when you stopped.
The same goes for your business. Be consistent in all that you do so you won’t have to keep starting and stopping over and over again.
Continue to be consistent in all of your efforts. Make sure you plan out your week and plan out each day what you need to do. Be consistent with your emails, phone calls, marketing, meetings, conference calls, personal development and every other activity you need to do to be successful. And if you don’ t know wha
t to do, ask somebody.
Be Consistent!
Here’s a quote to think about when it comes to the power of consistency.
Constant dripping hollows out a stone.

Get Rid of Your MWA’s
Earlier this week I was listening to this guy speak named Marshall Sylver. He is a multi millionaire and basically what he does, among a lot of other things, is he helps people get there minds refocused or reprogrammed so they can live successful lives.
In his presentation he said something that really caught my attention. He talked about people participating in MWA’s and how it was wasting their time. He talked about how he doesn’t do it and in his seminars, he challenges people to eliminate them by changing the way they lived.
What are MWA’s you asked?
MWA’s are Minimum Wage Activities.
Marshall asked folks if they cooked for themselves, took out their own trash, cleaned their own houses, etc. These are what he calls Minimum Wage Activities and as long as we’re participating in these it takes away from us making more money.
Now I don’t expect all of us to immediately hire a cook, house keeper, gardener, butler, chauffeur, home manager, personal assistant, etc. but we should be working to get there. What’s the purpose of having a successful business with all the time and money we need and want if we can’t spend the time and money doing the things we WANT to do.
Let’s change our mindsets and work hard to eliminate those MWA’s.
To YOUR Success,
Rodney
